The idea behind the RE:ST/ART exhibition is to welcome the new year with a positive message and some positive action. It’s all about renewing, refreshing and recycling... Its about a new year, new ideas… a new START…

Each piece in the RE:ST/ART collection will be painted on, and created with, only items and “canvases” found discarded on the city’s streets. At a time when, as the Chinese New Year approaches, so much is thrown out, the RE:ST/ART project aims to breathe new life and colour into the unwanted and dismissed.
